Dear YJHD

It's already been 11 years since 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" was released, and it remains my all-time favorite movie. Initially, I loved it because both of the main characters are my favorites. Somehow, I find myself re-watching the movie every year, without even realizing it at first. My brother would throw tantrums whenever I re-watched it. Later in life, I realized that I wasn't re-watching it just because it's my favorite movie or because my favorite actors are in it. The movie became my safe space. The characters became my friends, and whenever life gets hard, I turn to them. I spend time with them. During those 2 to 3 hours, they transport me into a new world, helping my mind forget about the chaos happening in life. I can confidently say I grew up watching it. This movie has been with me through different phases of my life. It gave me those charming Bollywood vibes when I watched it for the first time. Later on , it stayed with me when my school friends had t...

Life in Metro

As usual, I was running late to the office. I booked a Rapido and started my way to the metro station. I paid the driver while reaching the station, jumped off, and ran inside without even thanking him. On the platform, the display showed just one minute for the metro’s arrival. My feet tapped anxiously — I was running late, and my mind was already occupied with the presentation I had to give at the office. Suddenly, the music stopped. At first, I thought it was a Bluetooth issue, so I reconnected. But nothing. Then I checked my phone — no balance left. I needed to recharge. *Perfect.* Another reminder that today wasn’t my day. I took...

Tug-Of-War

A Hello and a warm hug to all the 20s out there, who are juggling to be a kid again and to be the perfect adult. Welcoming us to adulthood, with fingers crossed. We are stuck between all the question marks, exclamation points, commas, and periods. Our thoughts always start with "What if...," "What if not...," "Why...," "What...," and mostly end with... "na...naa, there's no end, by the way." We feel it's complicated with the phrases love, relationship, move on, break up, passion, heart, romance, guilt, fairy tale, companionship, compromise, expectations, responsibilities. Ough!! So much to handle. Isn't our generation a little bit confused about the above dramas?   Like guys! what are we trying to find? What does it mean to us?  Are we not satisfied with what we have and the way we have them?  Are we starving for a "Perfect Love," "perfect End," "perfect Story"?  Did we already lose our best mo...
